FIREPROOF
Friday’s Family Fun post is a movie review of “Fireproof”. Friday’s often end up being our family movie night. I decided to share a little bit about the movie of choice that our family enjoyed tonight. I have been anxiously waiting for the movie “Fireproof” to hit the redbox since I saw the first preview. I am a strong supporter of movies that encourage family values. ”Fireproof” is about a married couple whose relationship is about to be severed. The husband in the movie is a firefighter and the irony lies in the fact that he can save people everyday but can’t save his own marriage. In the duration of the film, the man is challenged to save his marriage and he reluctantly agrees.
In my husband’s opinion, the beginning was a little unnatural/forced or their was simply poor acting. However, he strongly feels that the plot and the message quickly overrode any flaws from the movie. He claims that this is the best movie he has seen in a long time.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the show. I too was turned off in the beginning, but not because of the acting but becuase of the negative issues that were continually presented. It was shortly after feeling this way that my husband and I turned the movie off. We talked about the problems that this couple were dealing with and are feelings on the subject. My husband pointed out that although we don’t personally deal with all of these issues, it is important to understand that there are people I know that do. We need to realize that you have to love people through their problems. We have to love our spouses in this same way. We did finish the movie and I have to say that I LOVED it!
I am so glad that there is wholesome entertainment out there like this movie that supports the value and importance of marriage. Marriage is hard work and I know it’s worth it! To learn more about ”Fireproof” or ways to help your marriage go to www.fireproofmymarriage.com.
oh i forgot to tell you that you can get redbox movies free, in case you didnt already know about this, go to insideredbox.com for a code to use, you can usually use the code twice on each debit/credit card, usually you dont need to do that because other codes come out all the time. it is only good for one night though so you still have to get it back the next day or they will charge you!
thanks for sharing! we have already planned to watch it for a date this next saturday night! I’m really looking forward to it.
